My name is Eric Beecher and I am the President of the Santa Barbara Police Officer’s Association. I want to welcome you to our new website and give you some information about the SBPOA.
The Santa Barbara Police Officer’s Association is made up of sworn Police Officers and non-sworn employees such as police dispatchers, parking enforcement officers, records specialists and civilian support staff. The executive board consists of five members; President, two Vice-Presidents, Treasurer and Secretary. These are non-paid voluntary positions.
Our goal as an executive board is to represent the SBPOA general membership in matters regarding wages, hours and conditions of employment; to promote the professionalism of police service; and whenever possible assist in all matters pertaining to the welfare and advancement of all members and dependents. The efficiency of the police department and the well being of the community in regards to public safety are the SBPOA's top priorities.
